3 hurt in Campbell County home explosion
Social media users claiming to live several miles from the site of the blast reported hearing a "loud boom" that felt like an "earthquake" that "shook their home(s)."
@WCPO we felt it too thought a tree fell on the house. Really hope no one was home when it happened.

Closer by, a 14-year-old neighbor told WCPO reporter John Genovese that he saw a "bright flash" and felt his house rattle while he was watching TV.
The Campbell County Police Department posted the following update on Facebook.
A lot of people are concerned about the recent big boom. There was a residential explosion in Alexandria. The cause is currently unknown. Everyone is okay. Please be patient for more information.
Officers at the scene said a man and a woman who were inside the home received non-life threatening injuries. They, along with a neighbor, were taken to an area hospital.
All three should be OK, police said.
The blast was so intense that it brought down the majority of the Beiting Road home. It also caused various damages to neighboring homes including blown out windows.
An estimate on property damages isn't yet available.
A Duke Energy worker was on scene Sunday morning as officials continued to try and determine what caused the blast. Firefighters said the blast was a first for them in at least 20 years.
