Earlier this afternoon, Timothy West, Barbara Houghton, and I met with our building contractor and Mike Studer (Studer Residential Designs) who will take Tim's preliminary drawings to the full blown stage required by the state of Kentucky. Using Tim's floor plan and elevations, I felt a need to build at least a rough three dimensional model...primarily to better understand the configuration of the roof. The model isn't entirely complete, but it provides at least a reasonable idea regarding the character of the house. For anyone who's interested in the progress we're making, I'm uploading several pictures showing the model in its current state. Please note that the piece of paper seen in the pictures is intended to represent the still existing rock wall and fireplace as well as the associated concrete slab from our former house, all of which be repurposed as a patio with privacy wall and fireplace. I'll make a point of uploading one additional picture showing the rock wall and concrete slab. Though happening relatively slowly, progress is truly being made......
